Kevin Pesur Secures Second Podium of the Season at Drift Masters GP in Ireland

The fourth round of the Drift Masters Grand Prix 2025 season took place this weekend, June 28–29, at the legendary Mondello Park in Ireland. Among the top performers was Estonian driver Kevin Pesur, who continued his impressive form by securing his second podium finish of the season.

Strong Start in Qualifying

Kevin kicked off the weekend with a rock-solid performance in qualifying, scoring 88.5 points in both runs, placing him in a strong position heading into the battles.

Eliminations – Big Names, Big Wins

Pesur’s first battle on race day was against none other than Irish drifting icon James Deane – a crowd favorite and Mondello Park hero. Despite the local support behind Deane, Pesur delivered a bold and precise run to knock out the former champion.

In the Top 16, Kevin went head-to-head with Polish driver Jakub Pryzygonski. Keeping his momentum alive, Pesur once again came out on top.

Next up in the Top 8, Kevin faced off against Tor Arne Kvia from Norway. In yet another intense battle, Pesur kept his composure and secured his spot in the semi-finals.

A Small Mistake, But a Big Result

In the Top 4, Kevin met Irish driver Conor Shanahan, the current championship leader. A small driving error cost Kevin the chance to battle for the win, resulting in a loss in the semi-final.

However, in the fight for third place, Kevin was set to face Marco Zakouril, but the Czech driver experienced engine issues and was unable to compete. As a result, Kevin was awarded the third step on the podium – a well-deserved reward after a weekend of stellar driving.

Championship Standings After Round 4:

  1. Conor Shanahan – 251 points
  2. Piotr Więcek – 191 points
  3. Oliver Randalu – 168 points
  4. Kevin Pesur – 168 points
  5. Tor Arne Kvia – 163 points

With this result, Kevin Pesur now sits 4th in the overall standings, tied in points with Oliver Randalu in 3rd place. As the Drift Masters GP season heads into its final stretch, the battle for the championship podium is tighter than ever – and Kevin is right in the mix.
